Wetherby RUFC U11 tour 2007

Welcome to the wetherby rufc U11's tour pages

First and foremost, if Josh is reading this in New Zealand - here's a big hello from all at Wetherby and we hope you are enjoying life down under!

On Saturday 31st March 2007, a hardy bunch of under 11 rugby union players set off with their long-suffering fathers for the 2007 tour.  First stop was Waterworld in Stoke-on-Trent for a few hours of splashing around and hurling themselves and each other down death-defying vertical water slides.

Next stop was Telford, for an overnight stay in the Whitehouse Hotel.  After booking in, the parents popped to the bar for a lemonade or cup of refreshing tea whilst the tourists performed daring raids on each other's rooms in order to scoff all of the biscuits, drink all of the hot chocolate and generally mess the place up.

After a pleasant dinner, everyone headed off for a mystery tour around the numerous car parks of Telford to seek out the bowling alley.  After taking in each of the 497 car parks, sat nav finally got us to within 100 metres of the bowling alley, followed by an evening of mainly impressive (by the boys) but sometimes quite dubious (dads) bowling skills.  Later, the tourists naturally had an early night whilst the dads chewed the fat in the hotel bar for half an hour or so.

Sunday was again a fun trip around the car parks of Telford (in daylight this time) followed by a desperate dash aided by sat nav again to the ground of Telford Hornets for the Festival and a grand day of quality rugby.
